Mobile applications are at today’s programming frontier, as are software-as-a-service (SaaS) packages that drive Internet commerce. Once a program is functional, programmers may also be responsible for testing for bugs, removing errors and installing updates. Programmers also design the graphical user interface (GUI), which is the visual element that users interact with when using a program.
